Rock Creek Tree Planting

After the catastrophic Archie Creek wildfire in 2020, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the Partnership for the Umpqua Rivers (PUR) implemented a large stream restoration project in Rock Creek to enhance fish habitat and improve water quality. The next phase in the restoration work is planting willows and cottonwoods in the riparian areas. These native plants will grow quickly, provide stream shade, stabilize stream banks, and compete with invasive species.
Willow and cottonwood stakes will be provided, and our volunteers will guide you on how and where to plant them. Bring your family.
