HealTerra, a social enterprise of Source One Serenity, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that empowers veterans to regain their purpose and build their community, is excited to offer its soil amendment products to the community: compost and worm castings with a high content of organic matter for your garden! The ultimate goal of operating this social enterprise is to generate revenue to fund outdoor recreation for veterans and a purpose-driven trail stewardship program on public lands. Every penny goes back to these programs. HealTerra has received The Homegrown By Heroes label (HBH) which is the official farmer veteran branding program of America and is administered nationally by the Farmer Veteran Coalition. The social enterprise composting facility with a worm digester collects food waste from the Roseburg VA Medical Center, Fir Grove Elementary School, and Wolf Creek JobCorps. It is empowering to connect different demographics and offer this solution in our rural community to produce a locally sourced product for gardening and farming!
HealTerra’s bagged products are currently available in retail stores in Roseburg, can be pre-ordered online for pickup at Rainbow Kitchen (736 SE Cass Ave, Roseburg), and also sells in bulk, 5-gallon buckets, and cubic yard totes.
