Celebrating Rural Oregon Collaborative Online Auction Benefits Communities Staying Connected with Community Website Partnership

May 31, 2023 | Events

(Oregon- statewide)- June 1-10, 2023 Community Website Partnership’s 8 community websites benefit over 325,000 rural Oregonians through community created, supported, and locally-developed websites that provide information about: local events, volunteer matching, news, resources, and emergency info and wildfire updates. Also, in Partnership, rural communities are networking to collaboratively raise funds for local community strengthening projects responding to local needs for emergency preparedness, civic engagement, volunteering, and economic vitality.

Community Website Partnership is serving rural Oregon in Douglas County, Jefferson County, Sisters Country, Bandon, Illinois Valley, Applegate Valley, South Coast and other areas across the state.

Community Website Partnership’s network of websites serve rural Oregon with free, accessible, and Spanish-translated Directory, Resources, and Volunteer opportunities. Recent wildfires and the COVID pandemic have made it more difficult for nonprofits serving rural Oregon to raise sufficient funds to continue doing their work. The Hub Team of the Community Website Partnership is offering a creative solution – raise money collaboratively and share the profits.

“This is our third year offering the Celebrating Rural Oregon collaborative auction- collaborative because we partner with up to 8 rural-serving Oregon nonprofits to raise funds together and then split the proceeds. It’s an amazing way to leverage our alignment for rural community building work (missions) while highlighting and promoting local, Oregon small businesses, artisans, and farms and their wonderful, quality products,” shared Community Website Partnership Co Director, Brooke Nuckles Gentekos.
