Libraries in South Douglas Launch Food Drive Challenge to Benefit Local Food Bank

Canyonville, Oregon – Participating libraries in South Douglas are teaming up to launch a food drive challenge to benefit the South Douglas Food Bank. The challenge aims to collect non-perishable foods for families in need within the community.

The food drive challenge will run through December 15th, and the libraries encourage everyone to participate in this important cause. The challenge will also be a friendly competition to see which library can collect the most food donations.

The South Douglas Food Bank has been serving the community for many years, and the need for assistance continues to grow. The libraries in South Douglas are proud to support this essential organization and hope to positively impact the lives of families in need.
“We are excited to launch this food drive challenge to support the South Douglas Food Bank,” said Linda Grace, Program Manager for the Canyonville Community Library. “We encourage everyone to participate and help us make a difference in our community. Let’s come together and make this holiday season a little brighter for those in need.”

Participating libraries include Canyonville Community Library, Yoncalla Public Library, Myrtle Creek Library, and the Riddle City Library. Donations can be dropped off at participating libraries during their regular hours of operation or directly at the South Douglas Food Bank located at 420 “E” Street in Riddle. The libraries are grateful for all contributions.
