During the Association of Oregon Recyclers Sustainable Oregon 2022 Conference, Source One Serenity from Douglas County received Sustainable Oregon 2022 Award because Source One Serenity’s “actions could be a model for other grassroots efforts across the state” to provide solutions for diverting food waste from the landfill and manufacturing a high-value natural fertilizer as a sustainable option for farming and gardening.
